Page 5, #10: The Ministry will now pay for the following orthoses:
10. orthoses (custom made or off-the-shelf foot orthotics, custom made footwear, a permanent modification to footwear, off-the-shelf orthopaedic footwear, an ankle brace, an ankle-foot orthosis, a knee-ankle-foot orthosis, a knee brace, an upper extremity brace, a cranial helmet, a torso or spine brace).
Help Sheets are funded by the Legal Services Society, the Homelessness Partnering Strategy, and the Health Sciences Association.
This series of guides is designed for advocates, but can also be used by people applying for or appealing the denial of benefits. They focus on applications, reconsiderations, and tribunals for income supports and medical supplies/services provided by MHSD.

The Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP) is a powerful way for eligible people with disabilities to save for their long-term financial security. It also enables people receiving social assistance to protect assets and income.
